SINGAPORE – American live-streamer and YouTube sensation IShowSpeed, whose real name is Darren Watkins Jr, arrived in Singapore yesterday afternoon, after visiting several neighboring Southeast Asian countries.
In Ishowspeed live stream which started around 3:40 PM, the 19-year-old was spotted wearing a blue Singapore football jersey while being driven along in a moving vehicle. “I don’t know much about Singapore,” he confessed to his viewers.
Within two minutes of the live stream, over 100,000 people had accessed the site.
Ishowspeed streamed his visit to Universal Studios Singapore, where there was a sea of fans from the crowds, waiting to snap pictures and have handshakes. Security personnel escorted him and the staff into the park. ” I don’t think there’s another country in Southeast Asia with a Universal Studios,” he said as he took pictures with popular mascots like the minions from the Despicable Me franchise.
But then the live stream cut out to a black screen almost immediately after an employee of a theme park told him “We can’t do any live-streaming on the attraction.” Stream was finally taken down at 4:20 PM.
