February 04, 2025 – Google’s currency converter is currently showing inaccurate exchange rates, creating confusion among traders, businesses, and overseas Pakistanis. The tool displays the US Dollar (USD) at a surprisingly low rate of 140.89 PKR, while the actual exchange rate stands around 278 PKR per USD.
This issue extends beyond the USD to PKR exchange rate. Google’s converter also shows incorrect values for other major currencies, listing the UAE Dirham (AED) at 38.36 PKR, the Saudi Riyal (SAR) at 37.56 PKR, and the Qatari Riyal (QAR) at 38.66 PKR. However, the actual market rates hover around 76.50 PKR per AED, 74.75 PKR per SAR, and 77.09 PKR per QAR.
The incorrect exchange rates on Google’s currency converter have caused concern among individuals relying on real-time currency information, particularly those involved in remittances and foreign exchange transactions. Many users have expressed frustration over the misleading data, which has led to uncertainty in financial planning and transactions.
As Google’s incorrect currency conversion rates continue to circulate, users are urged to verify exchange rates from official sources to avoid potential financial miscalculations.
