Born Anthony Leonard Platt in Atlanta, Georgia, DJ Unk rose to fame in the early 2000s. His breakout hit, “Walk It Out,” became a defining track of the snap and crunk era, standing alongside classics like Soulja Boy’s “Crank That,” Lil Jon’s “Get Low,” and D4L’s “Laffy Taffy.” His follow-up single, “2 Step,” was another massive success, further solidifying his impact on the music industry.
Both tracks featured on DJ Unk’s debut album, Beat’n Down Yo Block! released in 2006.
